Facial Aesthetics
A Personalised Approach
At Hilltop Dental Practice, we believe that facial aesthetics is about feeling confident in your own skin. Our approach is centred on you as an individual, taking the time to understand your concerns, discuss your goals and explore suitable options for your needs.
With a focus on professional care, detailed consultation and a natural-looking approach, we aim to provide a welcoming environment where you can feel comfortable asking questions and making informed decisions about your treatment.
Whether you’re interested in improving the appearance of your skin, restoring facial volume or exploring options for facial lines, your journey begins with a personal consultation.
Our Facial Aesthetics Treatments
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers can be used to restore volume, enhance facial contours and improve the appearance of certain lines and folds. Treatment is tailored to your individual facial anatomy and aesthetic goals, with an emphasis on balance and proportion.
Areas that may be suitable for treatment include:
- Lips – enhancing shape, definition and volume.
- Cheeks – restoring volume and enhancing cheek contours.
- Chin – improving projection and definition.
- Jawline – enhancing definition and contour.
- Nasolabial folds – softening the appearance of the lines running from the nose towards the corners of the mouth.
- Marionette lines – addressing lines extending from the corners of the mouth towards the chin.
- Nose – non-surgical rhinoplasty to alter the appearance of selected nasal contours using dermal filler.
Not every area or concern is suitable for filler treatment. Some procedures, particularly non-surgical rhinoplasty, carry specific risks and require careful assessment. During your consultation, we will discuss suitability, realistic expectations, potential complications and alternative options.
Skin Boosters
Skin boosters are injectable treatments designed to improve skin hydration and aspects of skin quality, depending on the product used.
They may be suitable for those looking to improve the appearance of dehydrated skin, fine lines and overall skin texture. Treatment options and expected results vary depending on the product and individual.
Polynucleotides
Polynucleotides are injectable treatments used in aesthetic practice with the aim of supporting skin quality and repair processes. They are distinct from traditional hyaluronic acid skin boosters and are often discussed in relation to skin texture, elasticity and signs of ageing.
They may also be explored for selected concerns involving delicate areas of the face, such as around the eyes. Depending on the product, intended use and available evidence, polynucleotide treatments may be considered for scalp and hairline rejuvenation.
Your consultation will help determine whether a particular product and treatment approach may be appropriate for your needs.
Micro-Needling with SkinPen®
SkinPen® is a professional microneedling device that creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate the body’s natural repair response.
Microneedling may be considered for a range of skin concerns, including:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Uneven skin texture
- Acne scarring
- Certain surgical scars
- The appearance of enlarged pores
- Uneven pigmentation and skin tone
Treatment suitability and the results that may be achieved depend on your skin, the concern being addressed and the treatment plan. A skin assessment will help establish whether SkinPen® microneedling is appropriate for you.
Consultations for Facial Lines
If you are concerned about facial lines or changes in your facial appearance, a consultation provides an opportunity to discuss your concerns and explore appropriate options.
We will assess your individual needs, explain the available approaches and discuss their potential benefits, limitations and risks. Any treatment involving prescription-only medication is subject to an appropriate assessment and prescribing decision by an authorised prescriber.

Your Consultation
Every treatment journey begins with a consultation to discuss your concerns, understand your goals and assess your suitability.
Your consultation will include:
- Understanding your goal — discussing what you would like to address and what you hope to achieve.
- Individual assessment — reviewing your relevant medical history, medication, allergies, previous treatments and skin concerns.
- Exploring your options — explaining suitable treatments, realistic expectations, potential risks and alternatives.
- A personalised treatment plan — discussing the recommended approach, costs and any preparation or aftercare requirements.
There is no obligation to proceed with treatment. We want you to feel informed, comfortable and confident in any decision you make.
Your Safety & Aftercare
Your safety and wellbeing are central to our approach. All aesthetic treatments carry potential risks, which vary depending on the procedure, product and individual circumstances.
Before treatment, you will receive relevant information about suitability, potential complications, expected outcomes and aftercare. Informed consent will be obtained before proceeding, and appropriate aftercare guidance will be provided following your treatment.
